The Mission
Community Uplift Projects (CUP) International, is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization registered and headquartered in Marland in the the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, USA.  CUP International's primary focus has been on alleviating certain health and social conditions of rural communities near Hosur, India about 30 miles southeast of Bangalore.  This is done through a non-profit trust registered in India, known as Anantha Ashram.  Ananth Ashram (translated means: house of eternal values) was started in 1991 with the mission to provide certain essential services mainly to destitute children and people of impovershed rual communities of India.
 
It has three main objectives:
To save abandoned or unwanted babies (mostly girls), orphaned or destitute children and to give them loving care and nurture until they find good permanent adoptive parents or until they are settled in life
To make quality preventive and curative healthcare readily available to the rural communities in order that their health condition will be improved
To assist poor village children to attend schools where they get a good education and also learn lessons of personal hygiene and a healthy lifestyle
